Awesome watching the German Soccer National team train! Was worth the wait in the cold weather.
November 2023: trial games for Mariners Youth academy. Nice fields.
Great for dog exercise and interaction but this is NOT a dog park so please keep your dogs on a leash. The main car park gates lock at about 3pm when the workers leave or when there isn't an event on so make sure you're not parked in there then (see picture for info). You can still get inside though via the outside carpark area which is much smaller but has side gates that are unlocked and open. This spot can be very quiet and serene as its not that busy. The inside car park is tiny and pokey, I would hate to see it on event days full. There are seats and bubblers along the decent sized walk way but only a few shaded areas to escape the sun. I really enjoy going here.
The drinking fountains should actually work when major sporting events we are on in the middle of summer. It's not good enough, especially when the event organisers are charging $4 for a bottle of water. Also, shade is very important in 2023 in Australia's heat with all we know about melanoma and heat stress, no excuses for just providing at least water.
At least the TFW 9s tournament organisers cashed in and made plenty of money selling overprice drinks. I guess that's all that matters.
Beautiful sports ovals in amazing condition.
My husband is in a wheelchair and getting to the right oval was made so easy by the concrete paths that seem to go to each oval.
Plus easy parking.
Open fields. Access to canteen and toilets. We were able to purchase chairs and a gazebo at a nearby Bunnings. I would advise to consider bringing these to the field if it's an all day event or a couple hours.
Great underused facility on the Central Coast close to Tuggerah railway station. 2km walking track around the entire perimeter of the complex.
Great smooth walking track around the fields - perfect for kids on scooters, bikes, skateboards etc. Apparently it's 2km but it feels shorter (which is a good thing!).
Parking can be tricky as they don't open the main carpark unless there is an event, despite many people getting their daily exercise. The bubblers are also switched off, so byo water.
Lots of cows on a field next door which is amusing.
A really nice clean complex.
Good fields for the teams playing on them. Mostly clean grounds, really only git messy when all the people rocked up. If everyone remembered to clean up after themselves then the grounds would be even cleaner.
There are toilets here and a cafeteria. But not much shade, so if you are coming to watch/support your team. Make sure to bring your own shade.
